N of K-pop boy band VIXX fainted while performing at an outdoor event due to the hot weather Wednesday.

During an outdoor event held at around 2 p.m. in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, the singer collapsed while performing the group’s song “Love Me Do.” He tried to stand up but failed. He left the stage with the support of a bandmate and his manager.

A video of the incident was shared on social media, arousing fans’ concerns.

The singer’s agency Jellyfish Entertainment said the incident happened because of the hot weather. “It is not that N was overtaxed. He rested yesterday. It was just that he felt it was difficult to perform in the hot weather,” the agency said. The temperature at the time was 29 degrees Celsius.

N was taken to a nearby hospital for a checkup.
