Park Shin-hye thrills Manila in the midst of thunderstorm

Actress Park Shin-hye greeted some 5,000 fans in the Philippine in a fan meeting event held at Araneta Colisum, Manila, Friday.

The actress is currently on her “2017 Asia Tour Flower of Angel.” Manila is her third stop following Hong Kong and Taipei.

Despite the thunderstorm in the area, hundreds of fans waited at the venue from early morning, her agency S.A.L.T Entertainment said Monday in a release.

Park opened up the event singing “My Dear” and performed soundtracks from her drama series including “Love is Like a Snow” from SBS’ “Pinocchio” and “Story” from SBS’ “The Heirs.”

“I met Philippine fans for the first time in 2013 and I meet you again in four years. I really, really missed you,” she said.

The actress also looked back on some scenes from her 2016 medical series “Doctors” which is currently being aired in the country. While talking about the karaoke scene, she performed the “Sha Sha Sha (Shy Shy Shy)” dance move from Twice’s “Cheer up.”

In the “Dr. Yoo’s Consultation” section, she appeared as Yoo Hye-jeong, a neurosurgeon she played in “Doctors,” with a doctor’s gown and consulted some of the fans on their anxieties.

Park will donate all proceeds from the event to the Korea Food for the Hungry International, a Seoul-based charity group.
