Leeteuk, the front man of seasoned idol group Super Junior, expressed his affection toward the band amid recent controversies surrounding bandmate Sungmin.

Leeteuk took to Instagram on Sunday and wrote, “Super Junior, the team I bet my whole life on. I’m still betting my entire life on it.”

He added, “I gave up so much for the choices I made, but I’ve also gained so much from them. Making a choice means taking responsibility for the things you didn’t choose. That’s how it’s been and how it will be.”

The singer’s emotional post came after one of Super Junior‘s most influential fan club communities recently criticized bandmate Sungmin for his disrespectful attitude toward fans and lack of communication with them. The community had also demanded Sungmin be removed from the group, announcing a boycott of the singer’s future activities as a celebrity. Band member Kangin had also
faced a similar boycott by fans after he was fined for driving under the influence in May last year.

Super Junior is set to drop a new album this fall, which marks the group’s first release in two years since its 10th anniversary special album “Magic” in 2015.

Only eight members from the 11-member band will join the upcoming activities, with Ryeowook and Kyuhyun still serving in the military and Kangin keeping a low profile since the drunk driving accident.
