Top 3 charitable Hallyu starlets

Many K-pop celebrities have not only proven that they have outstanding acting skills and looks, but also inspire others with their warm hearts.

The Korea Herald has compiled a list of top 3 female Hallyu stars who have been spending their time helping others.

1. Park Bo-young

Park Bo-young, who recently starred in the JTBC’s drama series “Strong Woman Do Bong-soon” with co-star Park Hyung-sik has proven that she not only has a charming face, but also a warm heart.

For three years since 2014, the actress spent time with Vietnamese teenagers who dream to be film actors. She visited Vietnam, where she became a mentor to encourage the aspiring stars.

In May, Park also has donated 10,000 sanitary pads for low-income teenage girls both in and outside Korea.

2. Park Shin-hye

Park Shin-hye, who is currently gearing up to return to the big screen with the upcoming crime-thriller flick tentatively titled “Silent Witness,” has made several donations for those who are in need.

She paid tribute to the victims of the Sewol ferry disaster and secretly donated 50 million won ($44,000) in 2014. Park also donated the same amount to help the victims of the Seomun Market fire in December 2016.

3. Han Ji-min

Han Ji-min, who is currently considering a role in the upcoming TV drama tentatively titled, “Tu Kkabs (Two Cops)” has been promoting a fundraising campaign for over a decade.

Despite her busy schedule, she has been participating in “JTS Street Fundraising Campaign” in May and December every year since 2007.
