Lee Dong-wook took to the V app on Monday to air his monthly show “On the Air,” where he talked about how he ended up becoming an actor.

As usual, he read a few stories he received to counsel the troubles and give advice to them.

One of the messages said that she has a daughter who dreams to be an idol but has no talent. After reading the story, he shared his own story how he could debut as an actor.

“When I was a junior in high school, I told my parents that I wanted to be an actor. I asked them to send me to an acting academy as well,” Lee said. “My parents then asked me if I’m sure whether I can make some money out of it or not. I was worried a little bit but said I can.”

The actor appreciated his parents for trusting him and supporting him to make his dream come true.
