Jia, formerly of girl group MissA, confessed she had dated a fellow celebrity for two years while still with the group.

The news came as Jia held a press conference in China to promote her new album release Monday.

When asked about how she came up with a self-written new song about love, she revealed her experience of dating a celebrity helped her write up the lyrics.

“When I was still a member of MissA, I dated a celebrity for two years,” the singer said.

Although she didn’t share specific details, she reportedly recommended the experience to reporters present as well.

Jia also mentioned that Pei, currently of MissA alongside Suzy and Min, was a great help when writing the songs.

Jia, who debuted with MissA in July 2010, has been carrying out solo activities in China since she left the group in May last year after her contract with JYP Entertainment expired.
