Singer Chae Yeon and actress Bae Seul-gi both apologized for their behavior during a recent EXO concert.

Chae Yeon and Bae both attended EXO’s concert held in Olympic Stadium in Seoul on Sunday. The two were invited to the event as they were in the same celebrity bowling team as EXO’s Chanyeol and Baekhyun.

It was later claimed by fans, however, that Chae Yeon and Bae drank beer and ate snacks during the concert and even headed to the stage to notify EXO members that they were leaving, before the concert ended. The EXO members reportedly had to wave them off in the middle of the concert.

As their social media accounts were bombarded with criticism of the pair, the two celebrities took to Instagram to issue individual apologies.

Chae Yeon wrote, “I’ve been deeply regretting my thoughtless behavior, and I also feel sincerely sorry for hurting EXO fans’ feelings.”

“We also apologize to EXO members. Bringing in food and drinks, playing with our phones during the concert and leaving during the encore stage. … Please accept our apology and I hope you can forgive us.”

Although Bae wrote a similar apologetic letter on her Instagram, netizens reacted coolly, saying they were insincere and too terse.

Following the surging criticisms, Bae wrote again on her Instagram, “I will never attend EXO’s concert again, and also make sure not to make same mistake at other concerts.”
