Chungha popped up on Naver’s V app live Friday to give a heads up to fans about her debut.

The former member of project idol group I.O.I. will make a solo debut on June 7, the group’s first member to do so. The 11 members were picked in the tvN audition program “Produce 101.”

In the show, she introduced the free gift that will be sent out to those preordering her new album. It was a paper toy which resembled her.

“Do you know what paper toys are?” she asked. “I did not know what it would look like. When you put glasses on it, the eyes change. I am very satisfied with the toy,” she explained.

A paper toy resembling her pet dog, Bambi, has also been made, she added.

The viewers and Chungha also shared a question and answer session, in which she explained she would hold a fan meeting and give out autographs.

When fans asked her to make her debut tomorrow, she said she needs more practice.

“I really want to give you spoilers to my new EP but I will have a chance soon, so please wait until then,” she said. “You will be able to see new and various sides of me. There are songs in different genres, from ballad to exciting songs that go well with summer.”

Actress Kim Ok-vin showed off her martial arts skills via Naver’s V app live broadcast Friday, in a movie talk show with her fellow actors and actresses in the movie, “The Villainess.”

“It felt like I can really handle axes pretty well, by the time we were taking the last scenes of the movie,” she said.

She explained that the character she played, “Suk-hee” is a veteran assassin who has been specially trained as Korean military’s secret weapon from her childhood. She said there is no weapon the character cannot handle.

“Her main tool is double-edged knife,” she said. As the presenter asked her to show the audience her action moves, Kim actually took out a double-edged knife and turned it around professionally.

“After Suk-hee’s teacher dies, she enters a government institute and works for the country. She learns secrets about her upbringing,” Kim said.

Actor Shin Ha-kyun also stars in the movie as a mysterious killer.

“The Villainess” will open in local theaters in June.
