Actor Jang Geun-suk is set to return with director Kim Ki-duk’s new film “The Time of Humans.”

Jang’s management company, Tree J Co., said Monday that the actor would break away from his usual acting style in the movie. The exact character of his role has yet to be revealed.

“My role portrays the instinct and limitation of human beings,” Jang said. “It’s very attractive for me as an actor to play such a character.”

“The Time of Humans,” Kim’s 23rd movie, traces the root of humankind by challenging the limits of a person’s emotion, ethics and morality. Ahn Sung-ki and Ryu Seung-bum will also appear in the movie.
