The singer appeared on Sunday‘s episode of tvN’s “The Life Academy” and shared his feelings about being less famous than before. “Fans do not follow me around like before when I was popular. I thought being famous and being surrounded by fans were something obvious,” he said.

“Now that my music style has strayed away from the mainstream and I focus more on live performances instead of broadcasts, I can feel that I’m being forgotten,” Lee added.

Lee said he felt lost for a while after facing the reality, but realized how precious his fans were and decided to continue his musical activities again.

Aside from group activities, Lee has been hosting KBS’ Cool FM radio show, “Lee Hong-ki‘s Kiss The Radio.”

FT Island is also set to perform at the 2017 Korea-Japan Super Rock Great Meeting rock festival in July.
