Yoona of Girls’ Generation flew to Japan to promote the drama “The K2.”

The singer-turned-actress held a fan meeting titled “The K2 Fan Meeting in Japan with Yoona” Sunday at Sonic City Hall in Saitama, Japan, to promote the drama that is currently being aired on “Mnet Japan.”

The action drama premiered in Korea in September last year on tvN and ran until mid-November.

Sunday‘s event was Yoona’s first solo drama promotion activity. She previously described the series as a stepping stone for her acting career which led her to take on the challenging role.

Apart from her group activities, Yoona played lead roles in “You Are My Destiny” in 2008 and “Prime Minister and I” in 2013, which both aired on KBS.

Yoona is reported to be working on the group’s upcoming special album celebrating its 10th year anniversary this year.
