Lee Jong-suk recently received an offer to play the male lead role in director Park Hoon-jung’s new film “Witch,” Lee’s agency YG Entertainment said Friday.

“Lee Jong-suk looks favorably on the offer, but nothing has been confirmed yet,” YG said.

The new film tells the story of a high school girl who becomes a killer weapon after a bio experiment. She struggles from an identity crisis and gets caught up in crimes.

Lee was offered the role of the male lead who also becomes a killer weapon after the same bio experiment. The production team will cast a new face for the female lead through auditions.

If Lee takes the role, it will be the second consecutive film that he works with director Park. Lee recently wrapped up filming “V.I.P” with the same director.

Park is an award-winning director and screenwriter known for “The Tiger: An Old Hunger’s Tale” (2015) and “New World” (2013).

Lee, known for his role in hit MBC drama “W,” recently started shooting upcoming SBS drama “While You Were Sleeping,” set to hit TV screens in the second half of this year.
