Ok Taec-yeon considers role in ‘Save Me’

Singer-turned-actor Ok Taec-yeon recently received an offer to play the male lead in an upcoming OCN drama tentatively titled “Save Me.”

On Wednesday, a representative from OCN said, “Ok Taec-yeon has not decided whether to accept the offer. He’s currently considering it in a positive light.”

Seo Ye-ji, Woo Do-hwan and Jo Sung-ha are set to star in the thriller drama.

“Save Me” will air in the second half of the year as the sequel to “Duel,” which is set to take over after weekend drama “Tunnel.”

The psychological-thriller is a spinoff of a Korean online cartoon series titled, “Out to the World,” which was published from 2011 to 2013.

“Save Me” will tell the story of a young unemployed men who hears a woman’s screaming late at night in an alleyway and tries to save the woman.

Ok, who debuted in boy band 2PM in 2008, stars alongside Kim Yun-jin in mystery-thriller “House of the Disappeared,” which is in cinemas now.
