Apink’s Jung Eun-ji confirms new album release

Apink’s lead singer Jung Eun-ji is set to unveil a solo album on April 10, according to her agency Friday.

“Jung Eun-ji is set to release her upcoming album,” Plan A Entertainment said. “She is at the last stage to complete recording tracks.”

Jung’s agency had hinted at her returning with a new album on March 13, saying, “She hopes to release an album in April, early May at the latest.”

This will mark her return to the stage after a full-year hiatus since she released her debut mini album “Dream,” with the folk song “Hopefully Sky” as the main track.

The song shot straight to the top spot across all eight local music charts, including Genie, Olleh Music, Melon and Mnet, within four hours of its release.

Meanwhile, Apink released its seventh Japanese single “Bye Bye” on Wednesday. The K-pop group began its special fan events in Fukuoka, Japan, on the same day and visited Kyoto on Thursday.

Apink will visit Tokyo on Saturday and Kobe on Sunday. The group is also preparing for an upcoming local event, “Apink 4th Panda Fan Meeting,” in Seoul on April 15.
