Actress Han Seung-yeon congratulated the former members of Kara on the 10th anniversary of the K-pop group on Instagram on Wednesday.

“Congratulations! Thank you! I congratulate Kara’s 10th anniversary and Gyu-ri and Nicole who have gotten 10 years older since the group’s beginning,” said Han, who is an ex-Kara member. “I also congratulate fan club Kamilia, whose members are more important than anyone else. It’s such a happy day for me since I can congratulate so many people.”

Han added, “I never thought I would be so happy after 10 years at that time. It’s all because of Kara members. I want to thank them for staying with me together through the tough times, when I felt insecure.”

Kara was formed in 2007, but disbanded in January last year following the end of its members’ contracts with their agency DSP Media.

The group’s final lineup was made up of Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon, Goo Hara and Heo Young-ji. Nicole Jung and Kang Ji-young left the group in 2014, while Kim Sung-hee left in 2008. The group’s name came from the Greek word “chara,” meaning “sweet melody.”
