IU released her music video for “Through the Night” on Friday via Naver’s V app.

The song will be part of her fourth full-length album, to be released on April 21. Before the release of the full album, she will pre-release another track on April 7.

After its release at 6 p.m., the track cruised up to the top of all eight local music charts. It is the first time an artist has topped all the charts since they revamped their methodologies in February.

The new album will be her first release in 17 months. She dropped her EP “Chat-Shire” in October 2015. It will also be her first release after she announced her split with singer Jang Giha.

EXID

EXID shared a video of their recent photo shoot with a fashion magazine via V app on Friday.

“Hani is pretty as always with the brighter hair. I think Hyerin’s choppy bang was created with the skill of a god,” LE said. “I think if Jung-hwa gets some freckles it will go well (with her hairstyle).”

EXID is preparing a new album to be released on April 10, without Solji, who took temporary leave due to hyperthyroidism in December.

Since the group hit the jackpot with “Up & Down,” EXID has produced hits such as “Ah Yeah,” “Hot Pink” and “L.I.E.”

The six members of K-pop boy band Shinhwa held a relay live broadcast on Naver’s V app Friday to celebrate their 19th anniversary.

Shinhwa held its first stage performance on March 24, 1998.

“It’s better to have (the broadcast) together as six. I feel awkward to have an individual broadcast,” Lee Min-woo said, opening up the relay.

“Next year, we will celebrate our 20th anniversary. Time flies,” he said. “Thank you for your support for such a long time. We will work hard to reward you with great music and performances.”

Kim Dong-wan appeared before the camera with a guitar. He thanked his fans by singing the group’s song “True Words” and doing 19 chin-ups.

Shin Hye-sung sang “Happy Birthday” and blew out a candle on a cake -- a chocolate pie.

Jun Jin thanked the fans with his dogs, Podo and Jackson. “Podo says ‘Thank you for supporting Shinhwa for a long time’,” he said.

Shinhwa held a concert in Daegu in February and will hold an outdoor concert in June to celebrate its anniversary.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
