Nam Joo-hyuk, Shin Se-kyung, Gong Myung and Krystal will start filming for tvN’s upcoming drama “Bride of the Water God” on March 22.

“The lead cast is scheduled to meet up for a script reading on Thursday,” a tvN official said on Tuesday. “They will begin shooting the drama next week.”

Nam will star as Ha-baek, the god of water and Shin as So-ah. Gong Myung will play Bi-ryeom, the wind god while Krystal will play Hera.

“Bride of the Water God” tells the story of So-ah, a character who is offered up as a sacrifice to the water god to stop a sustained draught in a village.

The fantasy rom-com is a spinoff of a cartoon series. It will be aired in the second half of the year.
