EXO-CBX announces Japanese debut in May

EXO-CBX, a subunit of the boy band that consists of Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin, will make its official debut in Japan in May, the unit announced on a Line live broadcast Friday.

The three bandmates appeared on a live broadcast Friday where they disclosed three upcoming events. EXO will hold a fan meeting in Japan. Kai will star on an upcoming Japanese drama on TV channel Wowow. Finally, EXO-CBX will make its official Japan debut.

EXO’s Japan website was quick to change its main page to announce the debut of the subunit. It said details of the debut would be announced via the official website.

The unit released its first unit EP “Hey Mama!” in October 2016, which topped the Billboard’s World Albums chart for the week of Nov. 19, 2016.
