GFriend’s fourth mini album, “The Awakening,” was released Monday. Lead track “Fingertip” is a funky disco track produced by Igi and Yongbae.

Sung-jong of Infinite broadcast live Thursday through Naver’s V app, greeting fans in blue pajamas while lying down on a sofa.

“Hi everyone, it has been a while since the last fan meeting. I missed you guys a lot, so I turned on the V app,” he said.

“Where I am at? This is my room. I just woke up from a nap,” the singer said, showing viewers around the room.

The 23-year-old shared a quick update on his life. He also hinted to fans that he might come up with Infinite’s new album, as the band keeps preparing for it diligently.

One fan asked, “Why are you wearing eyeliner if you just woke up?” through the live comments. Others also reacted suspiciously, pointing out the staff members who could be spotted in the background.

Sung-jong soon revealed that he was actually in the studio, not his room, saying that he was playing a prank on his fans.

“I finished filming a video clip for Piki Cast right now. It will be released in the middle of March. I hope you’ll enjoy it,” he added.

The K-pop group showed off their album’s jacket image, introducing the tracks one by one.

“The title track ‘ID’ is about introducing us. The lyrics mean ‘I am different from you,’” explained Jinhoo. “‘Stand Up’ is a fun song with an exciting tempo. You’d better listen since it contains rich vocals and storming raps. ‘Once Again’ got good responses from both Japanese and Korean fans.”

The 10-member act also expressed their ambition for the next showcase concert, which will be held in Osaka, Japan. It will be available on Naver Line TV, though not the V app.

UP10TION’s first album in Japan, “ID” was released Wednesday. The band is scheduled to launch showcases through the country, including in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Osaka. They kicked off the tour on Feb. 25.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit www.vlive.tv.
