Soyou of girl group Sistar thinks the “YOLO” lifestyle means devoting time and effort for oneself, even when it’s inconvenient, she said in a recent media interview.

“YOLO,” which stands for “you only live once,” is often used to encourage enjoying the present without worrying about the future.

“Many say they don’t have time for exercise and skin care. I prioritize things and give up the least important thing to exercise instead,” Soyou said.

She also has applied body lotion every day since she heard that it can make one’s skin three years younger, though she called it “terribly bothering.”

“Loving yourself makes a beautiful body line,” she said. “I can see the unique confidence from people who love themselves. For me, exercising is a way of loving myself.”
