Singer-songwriter Psy will release new tracks in late April, YG Entertainment confirmed Friday.

“We are in the final phase of Psy’s album production,” a source from YG Entertainment told News 1.

This came a day after Psy announced his return while onstage at the Global Peace Concert One K that took place in Manila, the Philippines, Thursday. The 39-year-old solo pop sensation headlined the concert and other K-pop groups such as CN Blue, SHINee, AOA, BTOB, B.A.P and B1A4 also performed.

The release will mark his return after 16 months of hiatus since his seventh full-length album “Chiljip PSY-da,” which included the double lead tracks “Daddy” and “Napal Baji.”

The global K-pop star shot to international fame with hit songs such as “Gangnam Style,” “Gentleman” and “Hangover.”
