Rookie group Seventeen thanked their fans after winning the Hot Performance Award at the Gaon Chart Music Awards.

Of the 13-member group, Vernon, The8 and Seungkwan got together on Wednesday for a V live broadcast in a hotel room in Yokohama, Japan, where they had wrapped up a concert earlier in the day.

Sitting side by side, they gave an impromptu acceptance speech in Korean, Chinese and English, respectively.

“I think we got the award because of our dances, because you loved the dance. It’s all thanks to you, CARAT,” Seungkwan said, referring to Seventeen’s fan club.

“Thank you for the award. It’s hard to perform on stage, but today everything paid off,” The8 said in Chinese.

“Obviously it‘s all thanks to you. We’ll keep up the hot performances. Thank you so much,” said Vernon in English.

The three played a slew of songs in the background of the broadcast.

The first from their playlist was a song from recently concluded TV drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.” “The8 always goes to sleep listening to this song,” Vernon said.

The three also sang along to Red Velvet‘s latest release, “Rookie.”

Coups, also from Seventeen, joined in later, and the four continued the broadcast discussing how best to resist eating too much.
