Kim Jae-joong of JYJ on Tuesday put out a video of a one-off cooking show via the V app.

“I’ve lived alone since I was 16. During those years I cooked for myself and often cooked for my bandmates,” said the 31-year-old star.

Kim, who recently completed his roughly two years of mandatory military service, said he wanted to show his fans a different and funnier side of himself before he kicks off his Asia tour.

“I like to cook food that’s simple and doesn’t require too much handling,” Kim said, as he rummaged through his fridge.

He was going to use leftover ingredients in the refrigerator to prepare a simple meal that he would normally have at home by himself. After cutting up some squid and radish, Kim adroitly pulled off a satisfying soup.

Kim’s cooking show, titled “House Cook Master Kim,” is available to watch on the V app.

Kim is now on the tour with concerts in Japan’s Nagoya slated for Wednesday and Thursday.
