Krystal, Shin Se-kyung consider roles in ‘Bride of the Water God’

Krystal and Shin Se-kyung were both offered roles in tvN’s upcoming drama “Bride of the Water God.”

On Monday, Shin’s agency Namoo Actors said, “Shin Se-kyung received an offer to play the female lead of the drama, but nothing has been confirmed yet.”

Shin has been on a one-year hiatus after starring in the SBS drama “Six Flying Dragons,” which aired October 2015 to March 2016.

Krystal’s agency S.M. Entertainment also said on the same day that the singer received an offer but nothing has been confirmed.

Moon Chae-won also received an offer to play the female lead but did not accept it. Nam Joo-hyuk, who starred in MBC’s drama “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo,” was asked to play the male lead in the drama, but YG Entertainment said he has yet to make a decision.

“Bride of the Water God” is a spinoff of a romantic-comedy cartoon series.
