Gong Yoo still enjoys tremendous popularity overseas, even though his recent TV drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” ended more than two weeks ago.

According to his agency, the actor has received fan meeting offers from 15 different countries, including China, Japan, the US and Australia. “They’re offering the best possible conditions to let him hold special fan events,” Management Soop said.

The 37-year-old has hit it big with fans both domestically and internationally. Last year’s Korean zombie flick “Train to Busan,” in which he starred, took the top spot at local box offices in Korea and other countries, such as Singapore, France and the Philippines.

Since appearing as the male lead in “Guardian,” his international popularity has increased even more. The drama series ended on Jan. 21 after achieving record viewership for cable network tvN.

Many entertainment agencies and promotion agencies overseas are trying to invite him over. Gong Yoo had fully booked his schedule until mid-March. His agency said he will gear up international promotions and events afterward.
