Taeyeon of SNSD talked about her hobbies in a recent interview with fashion magazine Beauty+.

The 27-year-old singer has shown her interest in art on various TV shows and on her social network accounts. Some of her usual hobbies are nail art, coloring and self-hair dying. Accordingly, her fans gave her a nickname “Artist Taeng.”

“I have been interested in colors since I was young. I like to use different colors which led me to enjoy coloring books,” she said when asked how she first got interested in art.

Her interest in colors led to an interest in makeup. She said she not only enjoys trying different makeup styles, but wants to learn professional makeup skills.

“I try different makeup alone at home. I pick up some makeup skills from the makeup artists and also ask them for some tips,” she said.

Her another hobby is baking. Again, it is the pursuit of art rather than gourmet.

“It is so fun to put different colors on cookies,” she said. “When I make cupcakes I take hours to decide things such as how I will put the cream cheese, since how I decorate those makes a huge difference.”
