G-Dragon parodied tvN hit drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” proving the TV drama’s enduring popularity.

The pop star shared a photo of himself being pierced by a sword on his Instagram on Sunday, making a reference to the main character Kim Shin, played by Gong Yoo.

“Somebody please (pull out) the sword ... please be my bride,” he wrote.

The romantic comedy centers on Kim who has a sword stabbed through his heart and his goblin bride Ji Eun-tak, played by Kim Go-eun, who must pull it out to end his cursed immortality.

The program officially ended its 16-episode run on Jan. 21, but its popularity has continued with its tracks from the series still dominating local music charts.
