A premium service called “Channel+” was launched on the V app Monday.

“The premium service will be running for a limited time,” Naver said. “The membership service will be provided for $3 to $4.”

Naver V Live is a broadcasting app that streams K-pop celebrities. Fans can watch their favorites star’s videos through live broadcasts.

As of this month, the app has been downloaded over 29 million times, with about 80 percent of users coming from outside Korea.
As of the third quarter last year, 200,000 users paid for the service.

K-pop stars such as BTS, Twice, Monsta X, Infinite and Seventeen currently use the V app, with more artists to be added in the future.

The V live service will expand its service through “V Cookie,” which is optimized for smartphones. Brand new content, including “LiveV,” “VJ Live” and “Mukbang,” will also be added.

Artificial intelligence-based translation program Naver Papago will be used to provide subtitles for the live broadcasts.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
