Taiwanese fans of Park Bo-gum were in for a surprise when top Hallyu star Song Joong-ki appeared at a fan event Saturday.

At the event, Song revealed why he cried at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards held on Dec. 31, where Park was awarded the Best Excellence Award for his playing Prince Lee Young in “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.”

The camera had caught Song tearing up as Park gave his acceptance speech.

The incident caught fans’ attention and Song and Park were since fondly nicknamed the “Crybaby brothers.”

Song told the Taiwanese fans that “I remembered that Bo-gum worried a lot about his first leading role.”

“I was nervous four years ago when I was first awarded a Best Excellence Award, so I thought Park must be nervous too.”

At the Taiwanese fan event, Park and Song showed off a brotherly chemistry, drawing each others’ faces and playing games guessing what each other were thinking, and more.

Park is currently on a pan-Asia tour. Starting with Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Park is touring around Asia to meet and greet his fans. He has visited Hong Kong, Jakarta and Taipei so far and will head to Tokyo, Bangkok and Singapore.

Song has just finished shooting for upcoming film “Battleship Island” and is reviewing his next step.
