Former 2NE1 member Minzy and I.O.I member Jeon So-mi will join the variety show, dubbed “Unnie‘s Slam Dunk,” KBS said on Tuesday.

The show is based on a “dream fund” in which the cast members take turns to achieve one’s lifetime wish with the help of other members.

The popularity of the program quickly grew as the episodes of Min Hyo-rin’s dream, “girl group project,” were being aired. The song released through the project “Shut up” swept the local music charts.

To reap the same success, the new season will set their focus on the girl group. Unlike the first season in which the project remained as an individual’s goal, the second season seeks to reflect each member’s life within the common goal of performing as a girl group.

Besides Minzy and Jeon, Kang Ye-won, Han Chae-young and Hong Jin-young will also star as the new cast members. Kim Sook and Hong Jin-kyeong will be the only members from the previous season.
