Following Kim Tae-hee and Rain‘s marriage announcement Tuesday, Joo Won, who played the male lead next to Kim in 2015 TV show “Yongpal,” confirmed Wednesday that he is in a relationship with BoA.

A local media outlet reported that the two stars met through a networking event with mutual friends, and that they have been seeing each other since the end of 2016.

Joo Won and BoA’s agencies were quick to confirm the report.

Joo Won, 29, and BoA, 30, both enjoy golf and mountain hiking. They reportedly share similar tastes in music and are supportive of each other’s career.

Joo Won debuted in 2006 with a stint in the musical ”Altar Boyz” and has gone on to play the lead roles in TV shows, such as “Bread, Love and Dreams” (2010), “Good Doctor” (2013).

He is starring in the remake of “My Sassy Girl,” which is slated to air in May. Joo Won is expected to begin his compulsory military service this year.

BoA debuted in 2000 with album, “ID:PeaceB.” She became one of the first Korean pop stars to make her name in Japan.

She recently featured in the TV show, “My Wife‘s Having an Affair this Week,” highlighting her potential as an actress. She is preparing to launch a new album in February.
