Thanks to the popularity of the cast, SBS’ “Law of the Jungle in Kota Manado” is topping TV ratings for the second consecutive week, Nielsen Korea data showed.

The new season of the survival program kicked off on Jan. 6 with an average rating of 14.6 percent and 21.9 percent at its highest.

The second episode, on Friday saw a little drop in rating but still remained top on the chart with an average of 13.9 percent and 18.4 percent at its highest.

Other programs in the same time slot saw only about 6-7 percent of viewership for both weeks.

The program’s popularity is driven by Jin of BTS.

In the second episode, the program even wrote “#rain, #land, #tears” in the subtitle to refer to the hardships of the cast.

It refers to the band’s recent hit “Blood, Sweat & Tears” -- when pronounced in Korean, the subtitle (“Bi, Ttang, Nunmul”) sounds similar to the title of the song (“Pi, Ttam, Nunmul”).
