Korean boy band Exo’s Chanyeol took to the V app Tuesday to give his fans good night gifts.

Chanyeol wanted to communicate with the fans since he stopped by EXO’s workroom to write a song.

“Happy New Year! I hope your 2016 went well. Have a wonderful 2017,” he exclaimed “I made tteokguk and jeon for myself today as a New Year’s dish.”

Chanyeol composed some rhymes for viewers while fiddling with his guitar.

He also played on the piano, alongside the guitar. Suddenly, the rest of the group surprised his fans, singing “Stay With Me,” a popular track from tvN series “Guardian,” and EXO’s “Twenty Four.”

His gentleness and sweetness also exuded as he played the new songs.

“I was going to write a song, but I couldn’t. But I had a great time with you today through the broadcast,” he said. “Good night and sweet dreams!”

Chanyeol is famous for being in EXO and their sub-unit EXO-K. He debuted in 2012. He is one of the main rappers in EXO-K and sings, writes songs and acts, too.

BTS leader Namjoon, also known as Rap Monster, wished a Happy New Year to fans via a V app live broadcast.

“Happy New Year! What’s your plan for the new year?” he asked. “I want to know your resolutions for 2017.”

Rap Monster answered for himself, “I have many plans for this year. BTS is having concerts and my personal goal is to be a better person.”

His charm stood out as he added special effects filters to the video. He commented on his new song, “Always,” as many of his fans reported being saddened by the song.

“Since I am not going through a hard time anymore. I said my good-bye to 2016 by releasing the song,” Namjoon said.

He recommended his fans listen to the song when they are going through similar difficult times, since he thinks a song can be a great comfort at times.

Rap Monster also mentioned that 2017 would be a better year for fans.

“These days, people seem to be discouraged easily. I really wish we can live in a society where we can dream big,” he said. “Don’t get hurt and hope your dreams come true in 2017. I will cheer for you.”

BTS’ Rap Monster unveiled his self-produced song “Always” on Sunday via SoundCloud. The boy band will hold concerts Feb. 18 and 19.
