“Entourage Korea,” the Korean remake of the American TV series “Entourage,” failed to surpass 1 percent in viewership for its finale Saturday.

The final episode of the 16-episode series recorded 0.7 percent in viewership, according to market research firm Nielsen Korea. A report by media outlet OSEN described the show’s lack of popularity as a “ghastly nightmare” for its broadcaster tvN.

The 11th episode of the series had reached 1 percent in viewership, but it had fallen below 1 percent for the subsequent five episodes. Its first episode had recorded 2.3 percent in viewership.

Many Korean media outlets said the reason for the series’ poor reception here was its failure to adopt the American series “unique provocative language.” The Korean version had a star-studded cast which included Seo Kang-jun, Lee Kwang-soo, Cho Jin-woong, Lee Dong-hwi and Park Jung-min.
