Song Ji-hyo will be leaving the popular SBS variety show “Running Man” to concentrate on acting, according to her agency My Company on Wednesday.

“Her concerns as an actress have long persisted while Song was being featured in such a wonderful TV show,” a source from My Company was quoted as saying.

According to a NewsEn report, Song had to decline roles in TV series and films due to her “Running Man” filming schedule.

“After signing a contract and discussing her future with us, she agreed to focus on her acting career,” the source added.

Song signed a contract with My Company in November. She had been on the show for six years.

Her last episode with the show has not been filmed yet. Another “Running Man” cast member, Kim Jong-kook, will also be leaving. TV presenter Kang Ho-dong will join the show next month.
