Namkoong Min will star in a new KBS 2TV series, tentatively titled “Chief Kim,” according to the state-run broadcaster Tuesday.

“Namkoong is confirmed to act in ‘Chief Kim,’” a source from KBS 2TV was quoted as saying.

This will mark Namkoong’s return to the small screen months after the success of “Beast‘s Beauty,” also known as “Beautifyl Gong Shim,” which ended with some 15 percent viewership ratings in July.

The news came a day after it was announced that Nam Sang-mi will make a comeback with the female lead role in the series. Nam has been on a maternity break since 2014.

The comedy series will revolve around an accountant-turned-salesperson who fights for justice in a typical office environment in Korea.

“Chief Kim,” following the current Wednesday-Thursday series “Oh My Geum-bi,” will kick off in January 2017.
