South Korean actor Jung Woo-sung has been appointed a judge for the International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM), according to the festival's official website on Thursday.

Jung is on the jury for the inaugural event alongside other eminent film industry figures, including Indian director Shekhar Kapur, Japanese actress Watanabe Makiko, and director Stanley Kwan of Hong Kong.

IFFAM, slated for Dec. 8-13, will be hosted across the region with a total of 50 movies to be screened. Among the films is the upcoming South Korean disaster flick "Pandora," which is set to reach theaters next Wednesday.

Jung debuted in 1994, and has starred in various films including "A Moment to Remember" (2004), "The Good, the Bad, the Weird" (2008), and "Asura: The City of Madness," released last month. The actor will also appear in "The King," a South Korean movie set to be released in January. (Yonhap)
