After sweeping the local charts last month with ballad number "The Love I Committed," singer and actor Lim Chang-jung is set to return to the silver screen, according to local reports Thursday.

Lim will play a member of a criminal gang in comedy flick “A Holiday of Rome,” by director Lee Deok-hee, who filmed a 2013 movie “Tumbleweed” starring Lim.

“A Holiday of Rome” will kick off filming in late November and is set for nationwide release in May 2017.

Lim has broadened his presence not only as a musician, who released 13 full-length albums, but also as an actor appearing in scores of Korean movies, including comedy hits such as “Sex Is Zero,” “To Catch a Virgin Ghost” and “Cracked Eggs and Noodles.”
