Park Shin-hye wants romantic role with Jo Jung-suk

Park Shin-hye said that she wants to play the love interest alongside Jo Jung-suk.

The actress made the comments at a press conference promoting her upcoming movie “Brother,” which also stars Jo, in Gangnam, Seoul on Wednesday.

Seated together with co-stars Jo and EXO’s D.O. and film director Kwon Soo-kyung, Park said that she has been a fan of Jo’s since his tvN drama “Oh My Ghostess (2015).”

In “Oh My Ghostess,” Jo played a cheeky, yet caring, chef opposite Park Bo-young. The chemistry between the two brought huge ratings.

Park said, “I was surprised (Jo) was so serious on set. I admire the ease with which he acts,” adding, “If I have the opportunity to, I would like to act in a romantic role with Jo.”

To this, Jo humorously responded, “I’ll take that offer and double it with my heart.”

In “Brother,” Park plays the judo coach of a national judo athlete, played by D.O.

Jo plays D.O.’s fraudster older brother who uses his younger brother’s accident to get him released from prison.

“Brother” is set for release Nov. 30.
