In 2015’s award-winning film “Coin Locker Girl,” Park played a naive but talented sous-chef with a father who has gone missing after borrowing money from gangsters.

Park’s character, gullible and innocent, believes nothing can befall his dream of becoming a chef, and that his father will return with money to repay the gang.

Actress Kim Go-eun, a heartless killer from the gangs’ side, chases the sous-chef for the money but falls in love with his warm openness.

Despite the woman’s attempts to protect him, he is eventually killed in the movie by other gangsters as Kim’s character helplessly looks on.

2. Lee Hyeri - Reply 1988 (2015)

Park became a pan-Asian heartthrob after playing the crown prince Lee Young in period drama “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.”

Actress Kim Yoo-jung played next to Park as a woman pretending to be a eunuch in order to hide her true identity as the daughter of a family uprooted for treason.

The two fall in love, overcome all odds and live happily ever after.

Park’s kiss in drama with Kim, the latter being underage in real life, was subject to media disciplinary action.
