New comedy film "Luck-Key" is off to a great start, with more than 1 million tickets sold in just three days of its opening, the movie's distributor Showbox said Saturday.

The movie, starring popular actor Yoo Hae-jin, opened on Thursday in local cinemas and surpassed the one million mark as of
3 p.m. today. The rate can only match those of "Inside Men," the most-viewed Korean film released in autumn, and "Jeon Woochi: The Taoist Wizard," the fastest comedy film that reached the one million mark. The record was achieved even two days earlier than that of "Miss Granny," the most popular Korean comedy film in history.

"Traditionally, autumn is a low season for the film industry, but the movie is very interesting and Yoo is a trusted actor among moviegoers," an official from Showbox said of the film's excellent reception.

Directed by Lee Kye-byeok, the remake of a Japanese movie is about a hired killer who loses his memory after slipping and banging his head on the floor of a public bath. After the memory loss, he believes somehow that he is a no-name actor. (Yonhap)
