Actor Benedict Cumberbatch and actress Tilda Swinton appeared Friday on the Spot Live show on the V app to promote the American superhero movie “Doctor Strange.”

Korean solo musician and emcee Eric Nam led the interview.

When asked how he felt about the movie’s premiere, Cumberbatch said, “I’m full of anticipation because I haven’t seen the movie yet. I’ll watch the premiere when everyone else watches it.”

He added that this is the first time he has not seen one of his own movies before its release.

The movie’s world premiere was held Friday in Hong Kong.

“So I have seen the movie,” Swinton said. “I can tell you that all the trailers and extracts you’ve seen don’t even come close. You know there are a lot of films out there these days that put all the best bits in the trailer and that is not true of this one.”

Swinton worked with Korean director Bong Jun-ho for his movie “Snowpiercer.” She said she was glad “Doctor Strange” would be screened in Korea, describing Korean fans as “the best.”

As for Cumberbatch, who has never visited the country, he showed disappointment that their movie tour in Asia did not include Korea, adding that he would like to work with Korean directors.

The two cast members also explained their roles in the movie.

“My character is an arrogant, materialistic man of logic, and through losing everything, becomes a man of deep understanding,” Cumberbatch said.

Swinton described her role, Ancient One, saying, “When Dr. Strange loses everything and tries to find meaning in life, he meets Ancient One who teaches him certain ways of digging deeper and (finding) the meaning.”

The action-fantasy movie will open in theaters here on Oct. 25.

K-pop girl group Secret celebrated its seventh anniversary on a V app live broadcast Friday.

Three of the group’s members appeared on the show with a cat named “Bling.”

They used to be a four-member act, but one of their members, Han Seon-hwa, recently left the group to pursue acting.

Hyosung started the show by saying that they had challenged themselves to use only seven Korean syllables each time they spoke.

When the cat blocked the camera by accident, Hyosung began saying, “Bling, stop,” but she could not finish the sentence with only seven syllables.

“Oh, I found one (phrase),” Jieun shouted. “Secret, the best in the universe,” she said.

The rapper of the group, Hana, followed up by saying, “You guys are too.”

They faced penalties if they broke the seven-syllable rule.

The members had fun with the challenge. The girl group debuted in 2009 with the EP “I Want You Back.”
