With the re-screening of American romance movie “The Notebook” in Korean theaters drawing near, local media has shed light on actresses Park Shin-hye and Han Hyo-joo‘s take on the flick.

The two Hallyu stars had picked “The Notebook” as their favorite movie of all time in past interviews.

“My heart beat hard throughout it,” said Park, who returned to spotlight as Yoo Hye-jung in SBS’ medical drama series “Doctors.”

“It was such an adorable movie,” she added.

Han, who played the female lead Oh Yeon-joo in MBC‘s fictional series “W,” said she was also impressed by the characters’ gut to abandon everything for the sake of true love.

“The more time passes, the more the movie means to me,” Han said.

The 2004 movie “The Notebook,” costarring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, will be re-screened in Korea from Oct. 19.

The re-screening of classic romance movies is drawing popularity in South Korea, with “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” attracting 300,000 moviegoers in 2015 and “500 Days of Summer,” drawing 140,000 viewers in June.
