YG Entertainment said Friday it has canceled a "walking festival" that it planned to hold next month jointly with UNICEF Korea due to bad weather conditions.

The entertainment agency planned to hold the "YG X UNICEF Walking Festival" at the World Cup Park in western Seoul at 4 p.m. on Oct. 2 and donate all the profits to UNICEF Korea's programs to treat malnourished children around the world.

The agency said it decided to call off the festival because the weather agency forecast that Typhoon Chaba, which is moving northward, will bring rain and drastically drop the temperatures on the Korean Peninsula that day. (Yonhap)
