Park Yu-chun‘s scenes not cut from upcoming movie
(C-Jes Entertainment) |
“Lucid Dream” had eyed a fall release, but the date for release has been postponed. Some news reports speculated that Park‘s rape allegation -- of which he was acquitted in July -- had forced the producers to delay the release and edit his part out.
The report by Sports Chosun on Wednesday cited a production staff member’s remark that admitted such speculations were the cause for concern.
“Park’s case forced us to rearrange the best date for release,” the source was quoted as saying by Sports Chosun. “The role played by Park is crucial for the story line. It was impossible to strip his part out. We had to wait until Park was free from the charge and reschedule the date.”
The fantasy-thriller will open in theaters in Korea on Jan. 4, according to the source, but the source added room for change of the date still exists.
