Jung Joon-young, TV celebrity and vocalist of rock band Drug Restaurant, submitted his smartphone to prosecutors as evidence to defend himself from an claims he recorded video of himself having sex with a woman without her consent.

The 27-year-old, who has insisted that he taped the video by mutual consent, submitted his cellphone Tuesday morning via a third person.

The prosecutors said they will recover the deleted video for the sake of the investigation.

However, the police continued their work on the case, which they are able to do as sex crime investigations do not require the participation of the victim. The police sent the case to the Prosecutors’ Office Saturday.
