Black Pink, YG Entertainment’s debutantes, uploaded a video saying “Thank you” on the agency’s official social media soon after they were awarded a trophy by “Inkigayo,” a music show on SBS, on Sunday.

The members expressed gratitude to their fans on the video saying, “We ranked No.1, thank you, love you all,” and made hearts with their hands.

Yang Hyun-suk, YG Entertainment’s head producer, gave a sweet reply to member Jisoo’s “Thank you” message on his social media saying, “I also feel touched, thinking that your last six years of practice period wasn’t in vain.”

It took just 14 days for the rookies to win the trophy, setting a new record for K-pop girl groups.

Since debuting earlier this month Black Pink has been on a roll, ranking No.1 on public music broadcasts in just one week after the first performance, and topping seven main local music charts including Melon, Bugs, Olleh, Genie, Naver Music, Monkey3 and Soribada. The group’s stage clip from Sunday’s “Inkigayo” performance also hit over a million views by Monday 9 a.m.
