Actor Namkoong Min confirmed Tuesday that he will be starring in the upcoming spy movie “Contract Special Agent.”

He will play the well-mannered yet cold-blooded man involved in a crime ring.

He had previously acted a man in love in the drama series “Beautiful Gong Shim,” which ended with some 15 percent viewership on July 17.

Prior to the romanticist role, he has garnered popularity by playing villainous roles such as psychopaths in the TV series “Remember: War of the Son” and “The Girl Who Sees Smells.”

“Contract Special Agent” will also star actress Kang Ye-won, who will play a clumsy special agent. Actress Han Chae-ah will play a feisty detective.

The movie is slated to start filming from August.
