Girls’ Generation will be releasing a new song in line with the ninth anniversary of its debut.

The K-pop group debuted on Aug. 5, 2007, when they first performed the song “Into the New World” on SBS’ music show “Inkigayo.”

In lieu of their ninth anniversary, Girls' Generation will be releasing their new song on Aug. 5.

Titled “That Summer (0805),” the song was written by the group’s member, Soo-young. It is dedicated to their fan club Sone as well as other fans that have supported them over the past nine years.

Girls’ Generation is scheduled to promote the song on SM Station on Aug. 5.
