Actor Lee Min-ki has decided not to join the cast of tvN’s upcoming drama “Tomorrow with You,” his agency and the broadcaster confirmed Wednesday.

“Lee decided not to take a role in the drama,” a staff at Lee’s agency Go_od Management told local media. “He will choose his next role after he is discharged from military service.”

The cable channel tvN also confirmed the news.

Both Lee’s agency and tvN staff denied that the decision was linked to Lee’s recent involvement in a rape case in Busan, where he has been serving as a public agent since 2014.

Lee was recently under police investigation after a woman accused him of raping her in February. The actor was cleared of the charges upon investigation and the woman apologized to Lee for making a mistake.

Go_od Management and tvN cited the actor’s schedule as the reason for declining a role in the series. Lee will be discharged from military service in August -- the same month tvN kicks off filming for the series.

The romance series “Tomorrow with You” is set to be aired in the first half of 2017.
